Would it be profitable to start a air cargo business and lease a boeing 747 ?
Would charter business be profitable considering the expenses of the planes

That is like "would I make money if I started a business?"
It will be profitable if you run the business such that income is more than expenses.

Its the old one's that are the best ones..... How do you make a small profit in Airlines START with a BIG Profit.
For an idea have a look at Global Supply systems and consider there loss of contract.
