There has been a lot of discussion about the high costs and restrictive work practices of staff employed by Qantas on the EBAs negotiated over many many years.
A genuine question, why doesnt Qantas seek to employ staff on common law employment contracts? Or is this specifically prohibited under the EBA? Or does it already do this?
In most organisations you have EBA staff and common law employment contract staff working side by side.
