AW 139 transition [Archive]

Hello everybody!
As experienced pilot, unfortunatelly with B-412 rating, I is very hard to find a job anywhere.
So, I'm thinking about transition to AW139; maybe, this way I could find something.
Any suggestions where can I do it and - of course - how much Will cost me?
Otherwise, ATPL/H EASA, 6500 hrs multiturbine time, 5000+ on B-412, 2000 offshore etc. Yes, TRI, FI, IRI...
ANy suggestions not to destroy my budget and family?

Cheapest one i ever saw was $US65,000.

Regular price is $US80,000.

It was a quote from the sim in Malaysia…about 2 years ago..

I would check with FS, if you already have a type on your FAA certificate they might be able to help, Woody can point you in the right direction. It will cost more then 50, but that is the way it is now....... I know of one pilot who came from KL without the instrument rating??

What i've heard lately from one of the Agusta's customer, TR is close to €80k from AWTA (IFR included).
As far as i know they do not accept individual requests. (an AOC is needed)
Mine was €50k four years ago...:oh:

I don't think paying an AW139 TR out of your own pocket is the way to go. The next requirement is having 50hrs on type, having so and so many hours flown in the past 90 days etc.

There are some AW139 copi jobs posted with 500h total, 250h ME, AW139 TR and 50h on type. Who in the world would fulfill those requirements (and want a copi job) ?

I do agree; but as an B412 driver is hard to get into big companies - that are paying for transition/type rating. They have enough B412 pilots that are soon to come obsolete.
Only way is to wait for a while - world is not full of AW139 rated pilots and B412 are not going into junkyard.
If you have time to wait, of course.
