To all you Lawyers out there.
Why do Air Contractors think that they can lay off their L-382 Aircrew ( Civil Hercules ) and then move in a South African ( ZS ) Hercules, plus crews into Eire, Shannon to be percise to replace them. And then get away with it ? :=
They know South African Crews have NO right to work in the EU , tried this trick before and got caught .

They think they can run and Hide........not this time.:=.
People have lost there jobs over this.

I've always been under the impresion that Air Contractors' EI-JVL was wet leased from Safair -- meaning South African crews and maintenance. I don't think any local crews were laid off -- just replacing Safair crews with Safair crews.
It is my understanding that Safair is owned by ASL Aviation Group based in Dublin, Ireland. They also own Air Contractors.
Air Contractors' EI-JVL went to Marshalls of Cambridge in early January this year for maintenance and then left for Johannesburg as ZS-JVL. ZS-RSG arrived in Shannon on 31 December 2013 and has been parked there since then. According to an Irish friend of mine, there are no signs of it becoming EI-RSG.

OSRL contract for the herc finished at the end of the year. It was to be replaced by a modified B727 but the modifications and certification for this are running late. OSRL therefore asked ACL to provide cover for the delay, EI-JIV was committed to going so RSG was the only option. Not as underhand as you would like!

Maybe you could explain to the Uk crews that lost there jobs over this twisted web of deceit. The lawyers will sort this out and hopefully hit those hard in the only place the know.........their bank accounts !

Some of your points are correct some are factually wrong.
A. EI-JIV is still sat in Cambridge awaiting a buyer . The wheels came off the cash cow when Safair a lot of contracts were lost.
B. The Hercules was operated by UK crews that had the legal right to work and operate in Europe. Just think about if it was Safair crews why was it Irish registered ?
C. The tangled web of A.C L. A..S L and Safair is very complicated. Work it all out and you are a better man than me.
D. Punch line Legal UK crews lost there jobs over this !
