Hi All,

Earlier today on ground frequency, an aircraft during disembarkation, declared a pan-pan medico. Apparently the ambulance arrived at the gate in approximately 20-25minutes.

Would anyone know what the acceptable international standards be for a response time? Thanks.

Well it'll be absolutely nothing to do with the airport or even the Country's Aviation Authority.

It will be entirely down to the Ambulance providers policies for the category of injury.

E.g. my local ambulance provider in the UK have the following gradings and response time targets:

Red 1 and Red 2 - Life Threatening incidents requiring immediate response - 8 minutes for first responding vehicle to be on scene, 20 minutes for a transport capable vehicle if one is not the first responder.

Green 1, 2 and 3 - Non-life threatening but urgent incidents - 60 minutes for first vehicle to be on scene.

Green 4 - Non urgent incidents/routine patient transfer - Attendance by arrangement and availability of resources.
