The deal needs to be ratified by the pilots.

šA deal has been struck with pilots at Iberia (http://www.theguardian.com/business/iberia) that International Airlines Group (http://www.theguardian.com/business/international-consolidated-airlines-group), the parent company of British Airways (http://www.theguardian.com/business/britishairways) as well as Iberia, hopes will pave the way for swingeing changes at the Spanish carrier without further industrial action.
The agreement in principle between Sepla, the Spanish pilots' union, and IAG will freeze salaries, which were cut last year by 14%, until 2015 although a potential further 4% cut has been dropped under agreed "productivity improvements", IAG said. These include longer flying hours and a lower minimum wageš
