Does a person holding an Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic certificate issued by the FAA have any chance of finding work in Europe? If not what would be required to work legally per EASA? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

There may be jobs with the American carriers directly, otherwise EASA compamies operate under FAA approval using the local Licencing system.

There is no conversion from FAA-EASA vv.

So you would have to sit and pass all the relevant modules to gain a B1 and fulfill the relevant experience requirements, which can be upto 5 years in a 145 environment.
