You can pay the money to Rishworth or provide them with a bank warranty. Both things cost you money.

Scab Outfit? Rishworth? Agreed... bottom feeders of the contracting agency world. They Prey on the innocent. There are other agencies out there dealing with Norwegian.

What are they offering.

Be careful of the Thai tax rate, about 42% if you make good money by local standards by the time they put all the add on taxes on.

Ejector,

The max tax rate in 2013 was 35% (above a taxable income of 4M Baht). What add on taxes are you referring too?

There are no local taxes, social security contributions max out at 600 Baht per month and there are no other mandatory deductions.

ZFT, It may have changed a bit since about 2010, I remember there were some other reasons that the Revenue Dept slugged the guys and ended up with only 58%.

Still, what ever it is now, tax is still a considerable issue for folks to consider compared to other contracts, as you get nothing back for it in Thailand.

I am not arguing with the current situation there, I will email some buddies and see if anyone can remember what the break down was.
