Hi guys,
Does anyone know if one does a Cessna Citation CE 560 Rating, are you able to CCQ or bridge course to similar models like airbus? Or does each type have stand alone rating like boeing?

From Cessna to Airbus? Type Rating from scratch!!!!

In FAA land the CE560 (Citation V) is a CE500 type rating and is good for all the 500 series Citations except the 525 series (CJs) and the 560XL. The 525s and the 560XL require separate type ratings.

Thnx g450cpt,
Ok great - so I can get the rating on my FAA license and it would say - "CE-500 Series Aircraft". However - I believe (and correct me if Im wrong) CASA in Australia does not accept this and therefore would only recognise CE-550 and CE 560 as common ratings? If Ive got this right.. this is really strange!!

Thnx deec. This is what the listing says. Looking at this list i think i did forget to insert a vital piece of info. Which is the fact that its a Citation 2 560.

550 - Citation II - Cessna 550/560 (PWC JT15D)
S550 - Citation S/II
560 - Citation V
560 - Citation Ultra

The model labelling system is far too complicated if ur new to the Cessna it seems!!

I'm not sure what a Citation 2 560 is. The Citation 2, is the 550/551 and the CE 560 is the Citation V, the Ultra, and the Encore. Not sure how the Aussies do things but in the US the CE500 rating on your license covers both of these Citations as well as the 500/501, and the SII.

As was stated in the previous post, check with the local authorities to find out the particulars in the country you plan to operate in.
