Airline Pay Deals This Year

NATS are currently offering a two year pay deal that most in the company think is unacceptable.

We are constantly being told that things are bad with the Airlines and we should effectively be thankful for any deal at all.

What are the airlines offering? I have heard various things but would like the answers from the horses mouth, so that when my boss tells me that i am getting a pay rise equivalent to airline staff (if we are) i have facts and figures to answer him with.

I don't want to know actual salarys but the pay rises and any bonuses this year(even if they were paid late).

Any info would be a big help.

All sorts of manoeuvring is going on! As For Brit Aircrew post Sep 11 = 1.9%. The real threat is in the growing slice of unpensionable pay thats creeping in though.

easy offered 2% to capts and 1% for FO,s. Deal rejected through BALPA ballot.Interesting to see what happens now, the unthinkable being whispered. GB gave their pilots over 4%, it is rumoured!!!

FR pilots got 3.1% on basic last year, 3% this year as well as 11% on sector pay last year as part of a five year deal (which also included £100,000 in share options)

BA flight crews got a big fat ZERO this year and coupled with the past 5 years derisory amounts (1.5% last year etc) you will see why our next claim will be for 20%.

"Southwest Airlines Pilots Association leadership will meet June 10 to decide whether to recommend membership ratification of a contract extension proposal from the airline. While the offer falls short of the industry-leading levels the pilots seek, the extension would increase pay levels 34.7% over the next four years, including raises already agreed in the current contract." Note, this offer was proposed by management.

So, it only averages 8+% each year, over the next four years.

MYT (Airtours) 3.5% this year, negotiated two years ago as a 7.5% rise, 4% in the first year.

BALPA intervention prevented a pay-freeze on that deal.

British European - no pay rise or cost of living increment for 3 years and a recent management attempt to even freeze service increments!
