Bit of a discussion around these parts going on currently.
Does anyone know for certain when the last enemy aircraft was downed by an R.A.F. pilot?

@PapaDolmio Sea Harrier, so that's the Navy and not the RAF.

Not sure if there were any kills in the Gulf War; I think the USAF got them all as the RAF was in more of an assistance roll.

If not the Gulf war, then it may be as far back as 1948 - Arab/Israeli war

A cheese and ham roll? Or a strike role with mud-movers?

Ahh, the phantom flan-flinger strikes again!

@PapaDolmio Sea Harrier, so that's the Navy and not the RAF.That would be Flt Lt Dave Morgan, and therefore RAF and not RN, TYVM, as per the original question.Does anyone know for certain when the last enemy aircraft was downed by an R.A.F. pilot?
