A friend is looking for someone urgently to service a RR Griffon engine in an industrial application in the South of England.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

You could try the guys at Biggin Hill who rebuild WWII a/c's?

They will set you on the right path I'm sure.

Sorry I can't remember the name:ugh:

Also try

RETRO TRACK & AIR (U.K.) Ltd (http://www.retrotrackandair.com/aero-engines.html)

They overhaul them for the BBMF and I believe RR.

Late to this, but if its not for an aircraft application (one of the ex-Shack Griffons running in a windtunnel maybe?) then there are places to go other than Retro... and I'm surprised anyone with an engine of that vintage hasn't got the manuals or can't deal with simple servicing. Of course, if the engine is sick, thats another matter.

These guys are about the best out there for none aircraft applications.
