Virgin Galactic cannot accept reservations for flights from Chinese Nationals for security concerns.

‘We advise them on how they can make themselves eligible for a space tour. For example, they can get another nationality’s passport or they can apply for a [US] Green Card."

Some have successfully applied for Hong Kong passports, the salesman said, as the former British colony is exempt from the ban.

If Chinese spies wanted to obtain HK passports, how difficult would that be?
However, I expect pax on this craft will not be in a position to obtain rocket motor data.

Considering the Chinese have already landed a spacecraft on the Moon, I'm not sure there's much they can learn from a suborbital tourist rocket.

I suspect Virgin Galactic have been instructed to apply the restriction, most likely by the US government. Such edicts often fail to stand up to reasoned argument, and hide behind the covers of "national security" or similar obstructions when questioned.
