I have just seen Stan Collymore wipe the floor with a BBC Newsreader.

Did anyone else catch this?

He was being interviewed about racist tweets and towards the end, the newsreader said "...but for you, who have been on the wrong side of the law.." He ripped her a new a-hole and had her apologising two or three times over.

It was a joy to watch.

I knew the tide would turn one day (Jimmy Saville, Lord Reynard etc) but didn't expect it to come from Stan Collymore

Just caught the end, and didn't know what Stan was replying to, but he wasn't taking prisoners, and was so polite doing it.

There appears to be double standards in football when it comes to racism and anti-Semitism.

Three fans have been charged (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-25831077)after chanting "Yid" at a match, while the authorities appear ambivalent in taking action against Nicolas Anelka (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/everton/10587372/Nicolas-Anelkas-quenelle-was-no-big-deal-and-did-not-deserve-a-ban-argues-Romelu-Lukaku.html), and those backing him for his "quenelle" salute. Anelkas claim that this was an innocent gesture is frankly bolleaux.
Dieudonne (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-25668275), (http://www.nst.com.my/latest/french-comic-dieudonne-questioned-for-assaulting-bailiff-1.468141) the French comedian he says he was paying homage to, has been prosecuted and his shows banned because of his anti-Semitism. If you have seen the audience he attracts you will notice a high proportion of young men of North African appearance.
He was questioned by police (http://www.nst.com.my/latest/french-comic-dieudonne-questioned-for-assaulting-bailiff-1.468141)after firing rubber bullets at bailiffs who were trying to enter his home on Monday to enforce non-payment of fines.
This is a man Anelka admires, and salutes.

Stan gets racist tweets and death threats regularly.

6 weeks ago he tweeted that he thought Luis Suarez had dived to get a penalty and reported 22 or 23 offensive tweets to the police.

The reason he was on the show was to simply point out that 6 weeks was unacceptable.

But someone whispered into Anita McVey's earpiece at the end of the interview to mention that he had "been on the wrong side of the law" and he utterly humiliated her. And it was a textbook job. He asked her what she meant by her comment, and got a retraction and apology.

Neither, apparently, does beating up your girlfriend in a Paris pub.

However they do both indicate that you're a [email protected]!

His girlfriend was Ulrekakakakaka at the time.
Who also aledgedly had a fling with the then England national football coach.
