I am running IE6 on win98 and everytime I shutdown IE it brings up an error window inviting me to shutdown IE and restart.

It sometimes even goes on to offer to send Microsoft an error report. Selecting this option often crashes Win98 all together.

Anyone else had this?

Worth a go at 'repair'?

Control panel add/remove programmes/Microsoft I E/repair

You never know!

If you are going to reload it I would suggest getting it on CD from a magazine unless you want a big download.

thanks boac

just tried that.. but no luck - error still there..........
guess the reinstall is next step.
lucky i have broadband, so it shouldnt take too long. Just still sceptical that it will work, as it has had this error since last installation, and I dont believe ther has been any updates.

lets see anyway.
