HD Air, the old BAC Express, have had their AOC revoked - I guess when some ladies from Manchester said "we know how to run an airline", they were not entirely correct

or perhaps the owner suffered a serious medical upset soon after acquiring it.
Idiotic, illinformed, ingnorant comment:ugh:

Loss of a post holder shouldn't make the blindest bit of difference to the AOC. You just get someone else in who knows what they are doing ASAP.

So, sorry, I don't buy that at all. Why it has happened I have no idea in the slightest, as I know nothing about HD air, but I know plenty about AOC's and someone being ill is irrelevant to that as long as it is managed properly.

HD Air took over the BAC Express AOC in 2007. It operated the remnants of the Post Office 3.5 tonnes Skynet routes and a few private scheduled routes for a short while. The company founder (and driving force) was taken seriously ill and left the business. The contracts gradually ended and the staff dispersed. The company has had no aircraft or routes since about 2009. It is hardly surprising if the AOC has been revoked.
