Pilot dad and daughter become first to fly 747 across Asia together
Stuart and Zoe Davies stunned their cabin crew on a recent flight from Manila, Philippines, to Hong Kong when they revealed they were related. ‘(They) thought it was a joke,’ Zoe, 35, said.

It's a real family affair for these high-flyers — the world's first dad-and-daughter double act to fly 747s across Asia.
Stuart and Zoe Davies stunned Cathay Pacific cabin crew on a recent flight from Manila, Philippines, to Hong Kong when they revealed they were related.

"(They) thought it was a joke when they saw we had the same surname and I said I was his daughter," Zoe, 35, told the South Morning China Post.
"The only way to prove it was to give him a kiss," she added.

Zoe, who was first officer on the flight, was just 9 months old when her captain pop signed up to Cathay. He's now flown for 35 years and is planning to retire next July.

Speaking to the SCMP, he said his daughter first picked up his pilot's hat when she was 3 years old and said: "I'm going to be a Cathay pilot."
Zoe, who's been living her dream for the past five years, added: "I wasn't trying to follow my dad. I just think the job is good."

Her father said he enjoyed flying with his little girl.

"It's the only time she has to call me 'captain' or 'sir.' She can't call me 'Dad.' That's not allowed," he added.

Old news. One of the nicest Captains in the company. Happy for him that he had the ability to do this before he retired. :ok:

So there's been no Fathers that have flown with their daughters/sons before now?

There have been plenty.

Not sure that son/daughter called the parent 'Sir', though.

I've seen plenty of websites with "Dad" & "daughter" teams.

Mostly subscription only. But I just watch the free trailers.

A KA FO was nearly sacked for posing in an engine intake recently.
In a previous life that was almost de rigueur:

Even if my daughters were FOs I wouldn't fly with them. They'd argue; learnt it from their mother ;)
