My first thought was it was regarding Terry Wogan.

Nothing wrong with Poundland - use it for the monthly household cleaning goods. Of course I take my Waitrose bags with me....

It's certainly easy to add up the cost of your shopping. Saves the little grey cells. :)

AS exRAFRadar says. why pay 13.50 for a box of 52 dishwasher tablets when you can buy boxes of the identical product at 1 for 10 at Poundland.

t'was in there yesterday buying some lighter fuel, plant life on the till was getting more and more frustrated as it wouldn't scan....I don't think my reply of "it's a pound mate" didn't go down that well.

If it doesn't scan, you get it for free.

once dealt with someone who'd been caught shoplifting (again) in Poundland, we was very upset, not because he was caught, but because it was Poundland. He was well known to the local Beaks, and he was afraid they'd laugh at him.

Mrs radeng instructed me on the shampoo she needed. Sainsbury's, Tesco, Aldi, Waitrose - nil stocks. Poundland came up with the goods. Must be a moral there somewhere.
