I have been lucky enough to have had several books on commercial aviation history published so far, and I have now been asked to write another. This will cover the story of Britain's holiday charter airline industry, from the early post-war days with war-surplus Dakotas up to the present time. I have lots of factual information about the history of the airlines involved, but I am looking for personal reminiscences from former aircrew and groundcrew to add some much-needed human aspects about what it was like to work for struglling (and not-so-struggling) charter airlines during the early days of holiday flights to new places such as Majorca and Benidorm etc. I would also be interested in seeing any pictures you might have of people and places, as well as planes. All material used will be properly credited, and all assistance will be acknowledged in the eventual book. Can anybody help?
Many thanks,
