I'm in the process of applying as a sim instructor with EK and would like any information with regards to how to handle and what to expect at the initial interview and how to fully prepare oneself for this interview.

I am a very experienced Boeing Captain but have minimal sim instructing experience so am asking for any information that would help prepare me for the anticipated interview.

Thank you in advance

So, Varmint...did you have problems with your R/T slang when you came?

Sorry I cant help you with the SIM instructor interview questions. But there is a golden rule...be yourself, because thats who you a are best a being...

If you have a chance, compare conditions on offer at the airlinewhichcannotbenamed. There is a chap there now who has been a sim instructor for both and says he has much more time off, he is uniformed and treated as a captain, the money is greater, the housing is better, and some sim instructors do double-duty as line audit pilots so there is a little travel and variety on offer when the audits involve layovers. He also says it is far, far more relaxed in every respect to work there.

I find the latter very easy to imagine.

Dropp, none of the sim techs will be thanking you when you give ideas to management!

Are you related to TCK, by any chance, thinking we do better in uniform? :*
