Hey people...take a look at this pic, please:

Photos: Boeing 757-222 Aircraft Pictures | Airliners.net (http://www.airliners.net/photo/Boeing-Ecodemonstrator-(World/Boeing-757-222/2354208/L/)

Now please could anyone explain me the following question, having all these items in mind:

A) This Plane never operated for TUI/TOM.
B) This Plane would never be delivered to TUI/TOM (afawk).
C) This is a joint project of Boeing & NASA.
D) On the official site of this project never, (neither a single small world) of TUI/TOM is written or mentioned as a sponsorship to this future project/program.
Link here »»» Boeing: A tail of innovation (http://www.boeing.com/boeing/Features/2013/11/corp_vertical_tail_11_14_13.page)
E) Even the engines are not the RR type as TUI/TOM 757's.
F) Pax doors are on a different layout as the normal TUI/TOM 757s.
G) It seems she only will be taking off circa 2015 beginning.

So here lies my humble question please... »»»

Why the hell this one is painted in TOM/TUI with "World of TUI" Slogan.. ???

Tanx indeed... :O

Noticed this as well bit strange as you say not a mention anywhere on the eco demonstrater website about Tui ?

I would guess that Tui (still a large 757 operator) are supporting/involved in the Programme.

It's an ex-United airframe (clues are the ex-reg and "-222" Boeing Customer suffix).

Perhaps it was earmarked for a TUI company and at a certain point it was decided not to be needed as a stopgap to cover the delayed 787's and then it was switched over to the ECO programme and kept in this pleasing colour scheme, minus the tail logo ?

TUI have announced their partnership:

TUI Partners with Boeing on ecoDemonstrator Programme | TUI Travel PLC (http://www.tuitravelplc.com/content/tui-partners-boeing-ecodemonstrator-programme)

I'm surprised it wasn't put into a boeing livery, with a small TUI logo or something.
