I need some help. Blokes.

I posted a thread some yearS ago about an old LP that included a song.

Isasiki Tower, this is Air Force 801.
I'm on the downwind leg and my Prop has overrun.

I had a lot of replys and also guides to the sourse of the LP. I cannot get there because some media comnpany is using the title of the LP for something else.

It must be available on SA river so can sombdy give me a guide.

I need it to compose my funeral arrangments.

The Lyrics are here.....

You can sing along to this one!

Fighter Pilot University :: Itazuke Tower (http://www.fighterpilotuniversity.com/music-and-theater/songs/itazuke-tower/)

If I am given some advance notice of my departure.....I fully intend to enjoy my own Wake! Lots of Whisky....some good looking young nubile nearly naked women....and lots of laughs and story telling....and thank as many of my friends as I can for their friendship over the years.

Itazuki Tower wa only one of thw songs I was interested in on the LP. My interest was in the in the toing and froing of the officers bar.

We're going to tear down the bar in the Officer's Club.
We're going to build a new bar.

Etc etc

I am sure the LP, circa 1960 was called The Wild Blue Yonder.

I've tried the I Tunes route. After 20 minutes loading their program I got nowhere as they don't list the LP. It the took me another 20 minutes to get rid of all the toolbars and home pages they had plastered on my computer, and also the program.

I have found a source for the LP. A few years ago i raised the same subject and at that time the LPs were avaiable for peanuts. They are now in the $70 bracket so pPrune must have bought them all up.

The reason I am looking for one is that i have just been to a funeral of a mate of mine. I am used to aviation wakes where everybody gets ratted and celebrates his passing for no other reason that his departure lessens the odds for you going with him. This one was disaster. A handful of collegues and tea and biscuits,

I am not planning to go in the near future but I am not going to go that way!!!!!

During the Burial/Memorial (depends on how much is left of you) service they have a quiet period with soft music so than youi can medidate and think of the dearly departed. That is when my plot comes in.

I am going to get and a local singing group to do a rehash of one of the songs on this LP

Instead of, "They're going to tear down the bar in the Officer's Club"; it's going to be.

"They're going to tear down the aircrew bar in Heaven."
"They're going to build a new bar.

"Holy water is going to be 5 a glass".
"Whisky; free".

"All the Angels are going to wear long dresses".
"Made out of cellophane."

Plus a few others I am still thinking up.

There is going to be a 500 float behind the bar and my death notice will advertise this to make sure there is a reason to come.

Anybody can die alone. Make it an event to be remembered.

Nice vid that one Cac! :)

I remember reading somewhere the Nazis wanted
to build something similar after they captured a
downed Mossie intact. Fortunately Bomber H's
boys had already blown out of existence the only
factory that could produce the necessary glues.
