Centaurus has just alerted me to Icko's recent death (http://www.theage.com.au/comment/obituaries/engineer-spent-decades-dedicated-to-improving-aviation-safety-20131128-2yeci.html).
Icko would be known to many of the older Oz folk - a charming gentleman and mentor from whom I learned much as a newchum ANR40 etc. authorised person in the 70s.
Not one to tolerate fools but very tolerant of those who sought to learn.
Perhaps my brother mods might leave this post here for a little while so that those who knew Icko might be alerted to his demise ?
