You call us pussies?

Did you happen to watch your scared "pussy" batsmen yesterday?

500N
25th Nov 2013, 01:36
Yes, I was surprised that they couldn't take a few "bouncers" :{

Maybe payback for Bodyline at last ;)

Still not sure that what was played yesterday was as intimidating as Lillee, Thompson, the Windies and the Poms in their heyday.

How odd. I found myself watching that clip. Young men with permed hair and 1970s trowziz. Most peculiar, because I cut that phase of human evolution right out of my personal development. But then, I was listening to the drummer.

In the late 50s, I became friends with a chap that had been trained to play the drums by Max Abrams. He could read music, and he had a 5 piece dance band. He told me only the other day that some of the new drummers can do things he only dreamed of back then. Quite a compliment, coming from him.

However . . .

Was the timing of that piece just a little too precise? Did the lip-synch or stick-synch fail to . . . well, synch? I'm suspicious. But then, I always am.

Had to laugh at the latest headline here in Aus !!!

"THE English papers weren't impressed with Australia's sledging and had plenty to say about their struggling players."

Well, they like giving it but seriously need to be able to take it.

I think the UK Press and British players need a serous dose of HTFU !

Yes - true - what was the line at the crease?

"Warney, why are you so fat?"
"Cos every time I f&ck your mother, she gives me a biscuit."

And don't forget we sold you Rolf Harris, the Minogue's and Craig McLachlan (or whatever his name was).
And none of them came with return policies or money-back guarantees. :E

None of the beauties' hairdos look very waterproof! :ooh:
I suppose that was before female surfing got fashionable and 'bathing' often meant sitting on the beach looking glam.

Mrs Fliegs and I often train in the evening alongside a swim suit model (Apparently,.....that's what Mrs Fliegs tells me, she knows of her I do not).... Whilst we turn red and perspire like proverbial swine....she never seems to break a sweat, and is rather unnervingly, sporting full make up, with never a hint of a blemish!

I have refrained from the beaches until 'schoolies' passes, though tomorrow I do have an 08:30 appointment in town. Theoretically that means I could head down the beach at 5, surf for 3 hours, get ready for work in the car park, and still make my 08:30....for all its bad press, when you know how to live Gold Coast 'tis a damn fine lifestyle :ok: ...... shame they let the moggy out of the bag so many years ago....:{

If you can't take it back, don't give it out in the first place, we've gotta man up.

I see the full story on that sledge is now coming out
and Anderson had said previously he wanted to smash
the face of the bowler which is when Ricky Ponting
stepped in with his comment.

The problem was, only Ponting's comment got picked up live
but the commentators heard both comments !!!

Golden Earring are/were a Dutch band, not Aussie.

Only if she'd had her mouth duct taped shut first. Reckon I'd throw a con rod if she managed to get the tape off and started caterwauling during the vinegar strokes.

To me, they lost the war when they asked for that.

The difference between Doc Neelson, Cold Chisel and those other pansies
is Doc and Cold Chisel hail from an era when men were men !

AND, it didn't matter where you were from, if you were at a concert
or a party and the song Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again or
Khe Sanh started up, everyone would sing along to them and of course
you had the infamous ""No way, get fcuked, m fcuk off" which sounded
good when a few thousand did it at once !

More parties have probably been busted for noise violations to those
two songs that any other !

I reckon Worrals would have consumed a few Bundy Rum's and
sung along to those two songs a few times ;)

Culture Club, Wham !, FMD, what's next ?
ABBA are better than those two !
