Just been given the heads up that the 5% rent increase limit is going to be removed very shortly.
Landlords to be given free reign to charge what they want.
Source comes from a local Lawyer, and he's been fairly accurate with his info so far.
So I suppose its only a matter of time before the same hits Dubai.:mad:

Wonder if this has anything to do with them being so confident that DXB will get Expo 2020? All the cabin crew wh were so rapt to be granted live-out allowance recently may not be so happy at rent renewal time...

I think your lawyer got the "heads up" from the local newspapers. It's been all over them for the last couple of days. Hope he didn't charge you for the info.
