Guys,

For information I have been talking to some Air Cadets about radio procedures. I am not that good at them as I always had a competent dry man to look after me. Can one of you please tell me what the three letter code for 'Request Ops Normal' and 'Ops Normal' is? if you also know the 'Q' code for the same it would be appreciated.

Thank you

Miles

Thank you for the quick replies.

Fox 3 I have that list but could not find what I was looking for. But it is good and thank you for the advice.

Hoots, Does INT mean question? Then QRU the Ops Normal then?

Thank you

MM

I'm not quite sure of your context - my only trip on the kipper fleet was spent trying to coach them on fighter affil and, inevitably, munching Dairy Cream Spongecake.

Does QUM fit the bill?

If you only got the DCS then your were diddled! The best meal was Honker's Stew followed by DCS for afters.

As a fighter jock, I didn't even know you could eat on a plane. I was very grateful for DCS, since all I expected was abuse (got that too).

Best quote:
Left waist "Skipper, one level in our 9 o'clock, range 2"
Captain "Continuing left turn"
Right waist "Skipper, another high in the 4 o'clock, range 2. What do we do now?"
Captain "Now we die!"

Don't want to go too deep with the 'N' word but we even managed to fit in a wine cooler on the MRA4!

I was on a course with a Nav that was fond of an occasional ZWP1, till the coppers caught him. :E
