forgot to give the correct title....
the operation was -
endoscopic trans-thoracic sympathetic block
some might know this as a sympathectomy
anyone know people who have had this operation and now fly military or civil - i.e. class 1 medical?

Is it an inner nose job? If it is then yes I did & I do have a class one.

Hi,
thanks- but this type of operation is on the sympathetic nerve next to the spine in the thoracic cavity.... i.e. next to your lungs...
quite a rare operation by all accounts... but was hoping someone might have some info on obtaining a class1 after having the op...
cheers

Interesting topic... considering its importance in regulation of body response and function.
Depending on what was done, and the future repercussions and risks of such an operation. If the operation was conducted due to another predisposing factor such as spinal trauma or disease, this will no doubt influence the outcome as well.
