The 4 UK passengers on this sadly fatal flight have been unable to make any claim on the Company involved. Luckily they survived, which could be said is just enough but as they had signed a local disclaimer form and are not Canadian residents, they have been told they do not have any right to even an apology.

A disclaimer form means next to nothing, but...

...unlike places like the US you do not get to sue for fun. In Canada we prefer not to have the court system abused that way. To sue for damages there must be actual damages.

Criminal litigation is a different thing.

Or maybe the judicial system is just held up with the Toronto Mayor right now :p

1 the company has always been known to be pretty shady
2 the pilot managed to save all on board but himself so what more do they need? An apology from the owner who is a total tw@t?
3 If the UK pax weren't so cheap they would have gone down the road another 10 min and flew with Alpine, who would have said "Sorry the weather is terrible, can we try again tomorrow?"

End of the day Alpine went out to pull the UK pax and unfortunatley injured pilot off a mountain

If any apology is due it's to the rescue pilot and Alpine

@ShyTorque: Pretty cheap shot against Canada... I know this country to be VERY customer friendly, just because these guys can't sue don't mean anything.

Cheers
