View Full Version : Aircrew Medicals

Not strictly an 'Current Aircrew' question, but I've got a military aircrew question I'm not getting much luck over on the Medical Forum, so I'll risk a slagging.

I managed to get through the RN flight aptitude and AIB, only to stumble on the medical due to my ECG showing a Type A Wolf-Parkinson White condition. My cardiologist assures me it can be fixed (by a small operation), and apparently this would allow me to do Civvy flying at the top level.

However, I suspect the Central Air & Admiralty Medical Board might be a bit more picky. Are there any air medical bods out there who could give me some indication of my chances? Is there anyone out who had the same problem and is now flying? Thanks.
