Saw this today for the first time, LHR to LAX 31500ft directly overhead Wakefield, West Yorkshire, at about 4.15pm. It looks big even when it is 5 miles up!, clear as a bell through the binoculars due to a cold clear sky, and the sunlight catching it at that height when it was starting to get dark on the ground.

I saw it fly over Leicester at 19,000 ft recently en route to LAX. Looked magnificent against the blue sky.

I've 'heard' it descending through 20000ft, over Bristol, coming back from LAX. He was throttling back and the sound is awesome.
Not BA but Air France over Scotland at 38,000 feet en route Paris to Los Angeles

I do have to say, and this is not just because I work for the company, but I do think the A380 in BA colours looks the best. The dark blue hull makes it look longer than it is, less stubby and short.
I do think, that across the fleet, they could have made the crest a coupe of shades darker so it stands out a tiny bit more against the white.
