Interesting. Seems to have been walking on water, too. The actual BA9 is shown as over Romania at present.

The actual BA9 is shown as over Romania at present.Yes, BAW9 did a bog-standard DVR 4G departure from LHR, so it didn't go within 100 miles of Cardiff.
So, just out of interest, what was observed happening ? It all sounds very cryptic ...
BA9 just disappeared from Cardiff.

Flightradar showed a 747-436 (G-CIVR), coded as BA9, making multiple ground-level circuits around Cardiff airport. Some of them left dry land completely! No squawk.
G-CIVR seems to have made its last flight on 24th September, SFO - LHR.

G-CIVR seems to have made its last flight on 24th September, SFO - LHR.No, last time it flew was the following day, 25th September.
Positioning to Cardiff for maintenance, strangely enough. :O
