The other Gloster aircraft looks better (5th Down) and unlike the Javelin examples are still flying!

My condolences, Courtney . My beloved is a wonderful woman, but her aircraft recognition skills leave much to be desired, although she can identify a Phantom. Anyway, I shall endeavour to send her "Ms October", so as to improve my chances of finding it under the tree :E.

As an aside, Airfix is really doing some nice work lately, way to go Hornby! Now how about some RAF W.W. II bombers in 1/48th?

And, he whispers, a Canberra kit with a T17 nose!

Now would be a good time to relaunch the VC10 kit - cash in on a wave of nostalgia

Ahh, the Javelin is in my old Sqdn markings as well ( 64 ). I already have the Corgi 1/72 diecast model, and what a fine item that is. On order for a year, but was well worth the wait.

Would only be the tanker variant, if memory serves me correctly they modified the previous versions mould to make the Tanker, so no going back.

Actually, Wander00, a number of 1/48th scale Canberra conversions are available from "Offroad Moggie" Models, among other tasty British aircraft conversions and kits. (Tucano)

It's easy enough to modify by removing the HDU and pods - although the paintjob takes a bit of effort. I did one a few years ago but it got wrecked in a house move.
