Cebu Pacific have just received a new 330 and will use it between Manila and Dubai.

Promises 30% less cost than other carriers.

A quick look ecco fare, 340 aeds..... plus plus plus plus plus.
with no baggage, but with taxes and hot food service, a typical price is circa 2100 aeds.
Etihad just sent me E Mail offering full service for 2200 inc bags etc, etc.

I would expect that the consolidators rate on Cebu will be less, and thus attract the Phil work force and their employers.

I am sure they will do well with consistently high load-factors. As you said, Gulfstreamaviator, very attractive to the workforce and their employers supplying contractual tickets.

Wait for a govt requirement for all companies to book corporate travel on EK

^^ Something that would be illegal to manifest in the West.

I can only hope that a great amount of business retreats from EK to other carriers. PAL and Cebu.

Regardless, still probably the less perilous leg of the journey, when you consider that the next leg is probably on the filipino ferry system.
