Dear Chaps,

I have been called for a selection in HK Airlines as an A320 FO in a couple of months from now and I'd like to know if any one of you went there for the same reason and have any recent feedback about what I should expect. From what I understood, 3 days of selections : interview, medical, sim.

By any chance if somebody working there is reading this message, I like to get as much infos as possible about the company like atmosphere, standards, roster, salaries, life in HK, cost of life, etc...

This company is apparently expanding as fast as the speed of sound (10 A380 + 15 A350 + A330s + A320s ordered) and it looks one of the rare great opportunity on the market for a young FO like me, but I have seen so many bad thing about them (poor SOPs, bad management...). I can't believe that everything is true, so please if you worked or are working over there please raise up your voice to cover comments from people who never went there and are spreading a bad reputation which might be unjustified.

Thank a lot :ok:

Seriously?

Everything in that tread is true. Its a horrible low paying job managed by idiots.
Lots like yourself believe there is no way.. you come and then leave soon after broke.

They are NOT getting 380's, in fact they are not allowed to expand at all by government as they are that unsafe.

Dont you think the governement should revoke their AOC if they were deemed so unsafe? :ugh:

They are not getting the A380 because it's used by the mother airline as a buying agent.

Aircraft purchase in China has to follow national economic policy and it's used as a bargaining chip to negotiate with Europe or the US, Hainan Airlines is not a national owned airlines so they tried to buy their own aircrafts, but all the major banks in China are national owned and wouldn't give them a loan, therefore Hainan need HKA to help them to get new aircrafts
