Has anyone been involved in lifting/assisting wind turbines into position? Would be great to see some photos and experiences?

Yeah, that would be interesting to see... :)

Here are some data on one of the more common types being raised these days;
Weights (approximately):
Rotor 100,000 kg
Nacelle 125,000 kg

With the mega dollar wind power subsidises being paid i think they use helicopters to blow a breeze through the blades on those wind-less days..;)

It has been done - but I think the jobs are far between;
