I know this is a long shot, but it's something that has bugged me for years.

As a schoolkid in the late 1980s (86-90) at Turnford Secondary School, Cheshunt, Herts, we had a schools career visit for our 6th Formers by an RN Lynx HAS.3 which landed on the sports field. Very impressive at the time, but I didn't realise then that years later I'd be working with them.

If the crew of that aircraft are out there I'd be interested to know which one it was and when (must surely be in their logbooks?) as I can't remember it all that well.

Cheers

Sorry guys I can't be more specific. At the time it was spectacular - the closest I'd ever been to a helicopter before, and it's not everyday we had one land on the school playing field - but that's it!

All I can tell you is that it was circa 1986-89.
