He was an Australian exchange guy with the AAC in the early 90s.
I came across this today.

And for those who wish to read the accident report, it's available here (http://www.atsb.gov.au/aviation/occurs/occurs_detail.cfm?ID=161).

I knew Huw in 3 Regt while in Soest. I was shocked when I was told of this most tragic flying accident. I cannot imagine the grief that his family must have gone through, on what should have been such a happy day.
It wasn't mentioned in your link M.G, but I thought he had been awarded the AFC while he was in Bosnia.
Stay safe everyone!

Knew him, flew with him and unfortunatey helped to bury him.

One of the most moving and suitable funerals I have ever been to. Huw is buried on a slope overlooking the vineyard he and his wife planted on his fathers property near Holbrook.

I am quite happy to let anyone interested know about the funeral, email me and I'll let you know as this is not quite the forum for talking about it in detail. Suffice to say an awful lot of single malt was involved.

He's still missed
