View Full Version : Seaplane over SW London 25_08_13
I saw a seaplane (not float plane) flying near Chessington, Surrey today around 16:15 (but could be up to 10 miles from there due to the angle I was looking at it from). As its unusual, anyone know what it was or the purpose of the flight? It was a high wing twin with 2 large floats, one on each wing extremity.

3db, You were very lucky. They are exceedingly nice aeroplanes. Wish it had flown over my place.
We done, it was the cataline. She is a wonderful sight.

"She" is the Amphibian version, to be seen at Duxford.
