Magic! Lovely to have a P-38 in Europe again; she was much missed at Flying Legends due to a tech problem.

Another good video of her on the web with Lefty Gardner wringing her out in the USA a decade or so back.

Great sounding aeroplane too, that odd growl when taxying...

I agree, rather got tired of them switching cameras every few seconds. But all in all worth it just to see the P-38 flying.

Oh I know, minds like grasshoppers these youngsters... I'm not a fan of constant cutting either. I think the guy who films Flying Legends edits the main feature, but also makes other footage available as extars so you can watch a particular display from one particular viewpoint.

Incidentally are those cameras on the canopy held in place by suction? I guess they really are very lightweight but my mind keeps seeing them coming adrift with a modicum of G and a soupcon of turbulence…
