View Full Version : Dash8-300 Emergency Landing Canberra

A QF Dash 8-300 operating a scheduled Sydney-Wagga service has made an emergency landing at Canberra this afternoon after reports of smoke in the cockpit.
The captain and FO have been transported to Canberra hospital for assessment.

All passengers disembarked via the stairs and have now been flown on to Wagga on a relacement aircraft.

Is it odd this report is not due till April 2015. That's almost 2 years since the incident, for what seems like a pretty black and white issue.

Still waiting to read about the VARA runway excursion that occurred 8 July 2013.

Maybe it's a regionals thing-no one cares.

Please forgive the thread drift but a recent Australian TV report of a runway incursion in the States included this gem; "The plane had just taken off when it was forced to come to a screeching halt". Presumably it's still up there.
