G-STRB arrived in Manchester late last night for the start of the Astraeus summer program from MAN.

The aircraft was supposed to fly a Rhodes then a Kos sector today, but both were cancelled, according to the airport. Anyone know why? Just curious.

Let's hope Astraeus enjoy a successful summer at Manchester (and Gatwick for that matter :) )

Nice to see continuing success of a new airline. These guys are movers and shakers and will make things happen on an ongoing basis. Interesting to see just how big they become.

Thanks for your best wishes.

Flystar 409 operated on G-STRB with a full load of passengers from Manchester to Rhodes this morning. The aircraft then positioned back empty to Gatwick (the first inbound flight of the inclusive tour series often operates empty).

The evening MAN-KGS was, for some inexplicable reason, still in the airport database when this flight only operates from mid July onwards. This was never due to operate but would have showed as a cancelled flight on the flight info screens. We've done a cross-check with the airport to ensure that there are no more gremlins in the system of this nature.

'RB is operating LGW-CFU-LGW tomorrow before positioning again to Manchester to operate a DLM and a CFU roundtrip on Friday.

Hope this clarifies & thanks again to all for the best wishes.

Brgds

had the oppertunity to see astreaus in EDI about two weeks ago. It was very nice looking 737. Anyone know why it was in EDI and when it will be back?

Saw STRB at Luton last Saturday whilst it was operating for easy. Colour scheme reminds me of "TEASTAR"! Remember them?

....sorry to spoil the "exclusive", but the same aircraft operated an Astraeus service out of Ringway on 1 May 2002!

The "cancelled" services are actually in the handling system now, but not due to run until nearer the end of the month, hence the apparent cancellation.
