working with a client who wants to set up a helicopter charter service business in East Africa.

I must confess that I know nothing about helicopters so obviously the I thought PPRUNE would be ideal place to ask for advise and recommendations.

They would like to purchase a second hand helis, so googled and the reviews that I read about Eurocopter here on Pprune were not so good but I'm open minded if you can recommend a good company and of course the do's and donts while purchasing.

I'm based in the UK and willing to travel anywhere if need be.

I would realy appreciate your inputs.

Work up the Business Plan.....determine the need and then define the aircraft that fits the need and can be bought and operated at the rates/demand you see existing for that particular area.

You will have to factor in all the costs, licenses, local "fees" and everything else that goes along with operating aircraft in that part of the World.

Finding the aircraft is not hard....paying for them to begin with is not the problem....but keeping them "paid" for long term is the rub.

Good Luck!

Are you intending to advise or are you seeking advice?, one needs to be sure.
