When printing a single full, or nearly full, page of print from Word on my HP DEskjet 890C, the last inch or so of text does not print, including the page number. If however the page is not a single page but the first of several, the problem does not arise and all pages print fully.

After literally years of playing around with margin settings, new print cartridges etc, I now find tucked away in the depths of HP's website an admission that it is a known bug for which they have no fix.

HP suggests a workaround of switching off Ordered Printing, either for that print run or permanently, and it seems to work. HP confirms that they have no proper fix.

This posting is to tell others of the bug/workaround and to ask whether anybody has come up with a fix.

Not sure if this will work but it may be worth a go...

DON'T use the HP supplied software!

Instead use the printer software supplied with the operating System. Microsoft operating system should be able to support a HP Deskjet 890C without too many problems....

It would be worth creating a new printer with the Microsoft rather than HP drivers and see what happens, If it does not work or if you lose some of the functionality you need simply delete the newly created printer and use the HP one.
