The damaged A340 is in the hangar at CAK; repairs may take up to three months.

CJ, it's hard to cover up incidents at line stations :{..

Fernandeztv, thanks for the link. Let's hope the story in the Express is mostly sensational reporting. :O

Can anyone provide info as to whether or not Sri Lankan is hiring Direct Entry Captains at this time?
Website up to four on this ago was showing an ad for DEC on all Fleets, but ad for Captains seems to have disappeared.
Also any info on pay, terms of Contract (both commuting and based in Colombo) would be appreciated.

Finally in the newspapers, one month after the incident := -

The chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority is a retired army general and the CAA director of airworthiness is a retired airforce officer with no civil aviation experience. :ugh:.

Fortunately for the travelling public, UL does not sweep such incidents under the carpet :E. :D
