This topic pertains to DGCA The Aircraft Rules, 1937 India.

PART XII - PERSONNEL OF AIR TRAFFIC SERVICES
102. Maximum age limit for holding licence or rating (http://dgca.nic.in/airrule/rule102.htm)
No person shall exercise the privileges of the licence granted under this Part after he has attained the age of sixty years.
Inserted by GSR No 64(E) dated 3-2-2012]
Whereas in Part III (http://dgca.nic.in/part3.htm) of The Aircraft Rules, 1937, there is Rule 28A-Maximum age limit for professional pilots (http://dgca.nic.in/airrule/rule28a.pdf) amended by GSR 660(E) dated 5.9.2008. This rule states:
28A. Maximum age limit for professional pilots. –
(1) No person, holding a pilot’s licence issued under these rules and having attained the age of sixty-five years, shall act as Pilot-in-Command or Co-pilot of an aircraft engaged in commercial air transport operations.
(2) No person holding a pilot’s licence issued under these rules and having attained the age of sixty years , shall act as Pilot-in-Command or Co-pilot of an arcraft engaged in commercial air transport operations unless it is operated in a multi-crew environment and the other pilot is less than sixty years of age.

Rule 102 was inserted on 3-2-2012. That's fine. But next to Rule 28A, it says that the rule was amended by GSR 660(E) on 5-9-2008 but the link takes us to GSR 676 of November 2005 (http://dgca.nic.in/airrule/not676(E).pdf).

Is the difference in age due to non updation of the relevant section of DGCA website or do the above rules have different meaning that I do not understand at the moment. If both these rules exist in their present form and are actually conflicting with each other, then which rule to follow? The latest one?

@aditya 104

The key difference lies in the following

PART XII - PERSONNEL OF AIR TRAFFIC SERVICES

Pilots dont fall under personnel of air traffic services . Thats for Air traffic Controllers ;)

Apparently, yes on 23rd March, 1937 (http://dgca.nic.in/rules/1937-ind.htm). Superseding Indian Aircraft Rules, 1920.
