Hi All

Not sure if this is the right forum, but here goes.

I am an A320 pilot looking for a PC simulation program which might be helpful for practising for a simulator cyclic. I guess there are add-ons for FSX and X-plane, are there any which have a reasonable degree of realism? ie ECAM and FMGC funcionality. Or maybe there are stand alone programs out there,.. not sure.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Cheers

There's a 320 simulator you can rent at Coolangatta airport.

I use the Aerosoft Airbus X. I love it and to me it seems quite realistic. I think they have released a extended version which has some more functions.

I also use some other programs that simulate weather, traffic and the scenery of the airport I'm flying into/out of. Addons are essential for a good simulator experience.

I advice you to look on YouTube for the aerosoft one, just type in "FSX aerosoft a320 review". There is tons of reviews and helpful info on it.

The Aerosoft Airbus X is OK, but it doesn't simulate all systems to a standard which you might want for a 'full' simulation.

Keep an eye on the Flightsimlabs A320 in development which looks like it will be very good. They made a stunning Concorde for FSX and if you have a look at their website and forum, you'll probably be quite impressed at the amount of detail they are packing into the aircraft.

So the airbus a320 for x-plane is more realistic simulating system failures than the available ones for fsx right??
