Currently sat in departures at Exeter airport.... all flights delayed due runway closure. Currently no real info forthcoming over the tannoy. Any PPRUNER out there able to shed any light?

Flights arriving at Exeter International Airport were delayed this afternoon due to debris on the runway.
We understand that a tyre had burst, and until the incident was cleared, several planes had to be kept in the air.
Arrivals have now returned to normal.
