Does anyone know why typing the word t w e e t here (without the spaces) gets automatically turned into "PPRuNe" ?

Here it is, typed t w e e t tweet

Are there any other words that have this bizarre effect?

Yes, any word that annoys dear Danny and Rob. 'FaceVolume', 'twatter' come to mind. You can always see what you actually typed by opening an 'edit' box and looking back at your post.

Twitter, Facebook, Tweet

Testing testing 1 2 3

There are several threads going back years about this.

Edit: Maybe the medication is kicking in.......................

Well, that's a first!

I deleted that post as soon as I'd experimented with it. And yes, the PruNe seems different - though I'm not certain. It does make more sense as a title as PPRuNe

Oooo look. It says, Rand Lover as Dr Spooner would say it on the edit thingie. :hmm:

I hasten to add, **** was typed as ****, not a norty word.

The niggardly people of Scunthorpe drive Landrovers. Or perhaps Land Rovers ?

What?

I typed 'Or perhaps L a n d R o v e r s ?' Whence came 'naked ladies posing with air powered machinery'?

Lets' try changing the colour....Land Rovers. Yes, that seems to defeat the childish editing system...

At least Scunthorpe seems to get through these days.

Yes, I've noticed all the above, most of which occur due to the sense of humour of the site owners.

Also, if you innocently type ARSE! you'll never guess what happens...

Oops, there it goes again! :E

And lAser turns into laser, so you can't tell what it says.

L@ser was changed to prevent google ads from promoting sales of the things on threads reporting the dangers of flashing them at aircraft.

All the rest is puerile humour by the admins. And a reluctance to accept the impact that facetime and twitbook have on today's society.
