The Justice Department secretly obtained two months of telephone records of reporters and editors for The Associated Press in what the news cooperative's top executive called a "massive and unprecedented intrusion" into how news organizations gather the news.

Gov't obtains wide AP phone records in probe (http://bigstory.ap.org/article/govt-obtains-wide-ap-phone-records-probe)

Could well make Watergate look like a playground hissy fit.

There are 2 sides to every story, I can't wait to hear the DoJ response.

Presumably Dennis v. United States (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dennis_v._United_States) (1951) is relevant. The old 'Clear & Present Danger' test.

They will have been looking for terrorism material I expect.

How is this relevant to the First Amendment? Wouldn't it be the Fouth (search and seizure) ?

It couldn't have happened at a better time. How much longer can they keep the blind allegiance to the current administration?

What makes anyone think the AP were the only ones? That would seem unlikely IMHO. :hmm:

I've said this many times before and I'm sure I'll be saying many times again.

This new breed of progressive, so-called liberals that are in control of our government are the biggest threats to our freedoms and rights our country has ever seen.

Everyday we hear of more and more abuses of power by the Obama Administration, but the mainstream media just keeps backing Obama's agenda.

But now that Obama has start targeting the media, hopefully that will change.

Or perhaps the Main Stream Media have come to the conclusion that they have been playing the fool.
