I have had the distinct displeasure recently to arrive at MIA 's terminal "A" at ca. 1840z. What a pain in the A***!

Day #1, 50 minutes wait in crew immigration line; yesterday only 25 minutes.

There seems to be a deliberate policy to have only one immigration officer on duty, despite empty booths for more, and the venerable gent behind the stapler yesterday must have been Pontius's ilk and clearly paid by hourly rate. The immigration chiefs who swoop about seem aware of the problem but arrogantly think we should all just cool our heels after our long flights.

The security people on departure are another feature worthy of mention in wasting time, being trivial to crew members and just generally "at the limit" for politeness.

Is this just me being a jerk or is MIA, Terminal A, the longest wait in the world?
